Feeling Stressed at Work Might Make You Less Productive
Research from professional services firm Towers Watson shows that high stress levels can result in lower engagement, and lower productivity.
“A third of respondents said they are often bothered by excessive pressure in their job and this can lead to higher instances of disengagement and absenteeism – clear indicators of low productivity in the workplace.” said Rebekah Haymes, a wellbeing specialist at Towers Watson.
But what causes high stress levels in the workplace? More than half of the surveyed respondents said inadequate staffing can cause stress.
Additionally, employers believe technology that makes employees available outside of regular working hours was a possible top causes of stress.
